Grab Adhesives & Sealants
Grab adhesives create a strong, permanent bond almost immediately, without the clamping or propping that a standard adhesive requires while it cures. That makes them a common choice for skirting boards, coving, wall panels, mirrors and general fixing jobs where a mechanical fastener isn't practical or wanted. This range sits alongside our wider Sealants & Adhesives collection, and installers, joiners, kitchen fitters and maintenance teams use it across both domestic and commercial projects.
The range covers solvent-based, MS polymer and hybrid polyurethane formulations from five brands. Soudal's Grip All Solvent Based Grab Adhesive gives an immediate, strong initial grab, while its Repair Express Cement is suited to quick general repairs. Soudal's Fix All line combines adhesive and sealant in one hybrid polymer product: the Fix All Crystal Clear, the Fix All High Tack Adhesive & Sealant in white and black, the Fix All Extreme Power Adhesive White, and the Fix All Turbo Fast Setting Adhesive in grey and white for jobs that need a quicker set. TEC7's own hybrid range includes a Sealant & Adhesive in black, white and grey, plus Trans Clear and Trans Metallic finishes, with a 3+1 Trade Box - three white cartridges plus a free clear one - for regular users. Sika's Stixall Extreme Power is available in black, white and clear, and Everbuild's Clear Fix rounds out the clear-adhesive options. For a mould-resistant finish, there's also Unibond Seal & Bond White.
These grab adhesives and sealants are stocked at trade pricing, with free delivery on orders over £89 and same-day despatch on orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday. Click & Collect is available from our Belfast and Ballymena trade counters.
Choosing The Right Grab Adhesive
- Need an immediate, strong initial grab for general bonding? A solvent-based adhesive such as Soudal's Grip All gives the fastest initial hold.
- Need something that seals as well as bonds? Choose a hybrid polymer product like Soudal's Fix All range or TEC7's Sealant & Adhesive line — solvent-free and flexible once cured.
- Need a faster set for repetitive fixing work? Soudal's Fix All Turbo range is formulated to set more quickly than the standard Fix All line.
- Need a clear finish for glass or mirrors? Everbuild's Clear Fix, Sika's Stixall Clear and Soudal's Fix All Crystal Clear are all clear-drying options.
- Not sure which one suits the job? Our free technical advice team can help you match the formulation to the task.
FAQs
What is grab adhesive used for?
Grab adhesive is used to bond materials such as skirting boards, coving, wall panels, mirrors and trim where a fast, strong hold is needed without clamping or extra support while it cures. It suits general construction and DIY bonding on timber, masonry, metal and many other surfaces.
What's the difference between a grab adhesive and a sealant?
A grab adhesive is designed primarily to bond materials together with a fast initial grip, whereas a sealant is designed to seal a joint against water, air or movement. Several products in this range - including Soudal's Fix All and TEC7's Sealant & Adhesive lines - are hybrid polymer products built to do both jobs at once.
Is grab adhesive the same as "No More Nails"?
No More Nails is a specific branded grab adhesive product rather than a generic term - grab adhesive is the wider product category it belongs to. Our range includes grab adhesives from Soudal, TEC7, Sika and Unibond, which work on the same bonding principle; check the individual listing for the specific formulation and finish you need.
How long does grab adhesive take to set or dry?
This depends on the specific product, bead size and site conditions such as temperature and humidity, so check the individual product listing for guide times. As a general rule, most grab adhesives achieve their initial grab within minutes but take longer to fully cure through.
Is grab adhesive waterproof?
Some formulations offer good water resistance once fully cured, but this varies by product. Check the individual listing or consult our technical advice team before relying on a specific grab adhesive in a wet or exposed location.
What's the difference between solvent-based and MS polymer/hybrid grab adhesives?
Solvent-based grab adhesives, like Soudal's Grip All, typically provide very fast initial grab and are suitable for general construction bonding. MS polymer and hybrid polyurethane products, such as TEC7's Sealant & Adhesive range and Soudal's Fix All, are solvent-free, remain flexible once cured, and can also serve as a sealant - useful across a wider range of materials, including some sensitive or non-porous surfaces.
Can Ace Fixings help me choose the right grab adhesive?
Yes. If you're unsure which formulation, finish or pack size suits your job, our free technical advice team can help you choose, and you can also compare products on the individual listings.
